Congratulations on your purchase of an Apple iPhone from Arrow Voice & Data. Before you can use your phone, you must activate it. This process will usually take around 30 seconds.
Requirements
Make sure that your iPhone is fully charged. You’ll need your Vodafone SIM card (it must be active before proceding), an open connection to the internet and the latest version of iTunes installed on your PC or Mac. To download iTunes please visit www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and install before proceeding to the next steps.
Step 1 – Insert the Vodafone SIM card
The SIM card slot is located at the top of your iPhone. Take the supplied SIM eject tool and insert it into the little hole, pushing firmly down until the slot pops up. Insert the SIM card into the cradle in a way that it fits. Then just slide the card back into your iPhone. Press and hold the power button till the iPhone switches on.
Step 2 - Sync your iPhone 3G / 3GS and computer
Connect your iPhone to a USB 2.0 port on your Mac or PC using the docking cable supplied. iTunes will automatically open. If not, click the iTunes icon to open the software.
Agree to the iPhone Software Licence Agreement that is presented within iTunes. iTunes will activate your iPhone. During the activation you will see the message in iTunes ‘’Accessing iTunes Store...’’. On the iPhone screen, the iPhone will initially display a message “Waiting for Activation…”The activation may take a while. The iPhone will then display a message that says “Slide to Unlock”. Slide this bar below it to the right to complete the activation process.
Step 3 - Activation completion and optional registration
You’re done! The message "Welcome to Your New iPhone" appears on your computer screen. Your new iPhone is successfully activated and you can fully use its features.
It’s now a good time to register to your iPhone with Apple and create an iTunes Store account so you can access full online support services and download your favourite music through the iTunes Store anywhere and anytime.
To register your iPhone click "Continue". To postpone your registration click "Register Later" or click "Never Register" to cancel the registration
